Our Story
I used to wash and vacuum my own car every week, but no matter what I did, I couldn’t get it to look as good as it was when I first bought it. I had neglected my car for many years, taking it to automated car washes too often and even washing it at the nearby self-serve car wash wasn’t the best option either.
I knew there had to be a better way to keep my vehicle looking like new for as long as possible. So, I decided to learn how to detail my own vehicles properly. It wasn’t an easy journey, as my first vehicle was only a few months old when I realized that tunnel car washes were not good, especially for black finish paint. I then tried self-serve car washes but after using the brush so many times, I started to notice that it was damaging the paint on my car even more.
It wasn’t because of the soaps they use or even the brush itself. The brush is soft enough for delicate finishes, but people often use it to scrub their wheels or throw it on the floor, picking up debris that can cause damage. I also realized that I wasn’t using the proper techniques. In my quest to find a better way to maintain my car’s appearance, I learned about better products and techniques. Over time, I made mistakes in my own vehicles, but I learned from them and improved my detailing skills.
Today, I can deliver professional results using only the best products and techniques. After years of detailing my own vehicles, I started providing the same service to friends and family, and they loved the results. This encouraged me to start a detailing business, and Detailing Standards was born. It is now a reality that we want you to be a part of. I made mistakes in the past, so I don’t make them on your vehicle. You can be confident that you will receive top-quality service.
